Tracking your weight loss is much easier if you can take your tracker with you everywhere you go. There are plenty of smartphone apps out there to choose from, so it can be hard to know which one will work for you.
My Fitness Pal®
This is the food and fitness tracker I use. Once you sign up for a free account online, you can download the app for your Android™, iPhone®, iPad®, Blackberry®, or Windows® Phone. You’ll be able to track your food intake and exercise while on the go, which will make it much easier for you to work into your routine every day.
Fooducate™
If you have trouble choosing healthy foods in the grocery store, this app is for you! Rather than standing in the aisles comparing nutrition facts based on your chosen weight loss plan, you can use this app to scan barcodes and learn about the nutritional data. It makes it much easier to compare two or more products in the grocery store so you can get what is healthiest for you, regardless of marketing and package claims. This app is available for Android and iPhone.
Locovore®
Buying fresh, local produce has more nutrients making it better for your body, and less of a carbon footprint, making it better for the planet. An added bonus, it puts money back in your local economy. This app can help you track down stores in your local area to get healthy eats. You can also find seasonal recipes and share them on Facebook. This app is available for Android and iPhone.
Restaurant Nutrition®
Just because you’re on a diet doesn’t mean you have to cook all your meals from scratch. While eating more of your meals at home is ideal, this app can help you make better food choices when you choose to dine out. Available for Android and iPhone, this app includes nutrition data for most national chain restaurants.
